"Against the Elections of a Reactionary Separate Government in South Korea and for the Achievement of Korea's Reunification and Independence", "Report to the Second Congress of the Workers' Party of North Korea on the Work of the Central Committee" and other works disclose the U.S. imperialists' criminal moves to perpetuate the colonial rule over south Korea and indicate the principled stand of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country and ways to do so.

"The Political Situation in North Korea", "On the Manifesto Regarding the Measures for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country" and other works deal with the issues of checking and frustrating the country-selling separate elections in south Korea, establishing the unified central government on the principle of democracy and reunifying the country in a peaceful way to cope with the moves of the U.S. imperialists and the puppet Syngman Rhee clique to ignite a war of aggression.

The President in his works published after the war provided a firm ideological foundation for the struggle to achieve the country's reunification which reflected the unanimous desire of all Koreans for aspiring after independence, peace and national unity and reunifying the country by the independent efforts of the Korean nation and a sure guarantee for victory.

The President also authored a work laying bare the ulterior intention of the anti-reunification forces to create "two Koreas" and calling for replacing the policy of national division with a reunification policy and the anti-communist policy with a policy for an alliance with communism if one is willing to have sincere dialogue and cooperation.

The President published "10-Point Programme of the Great Unity of the Whole Nation for the Reunification of the Country" in the last period of his life. The work is a review and an immortal encyclopedia of the President's original idea of great national unity which calls on all classes and strata to achieve unity, putting the common requirements and interests above all else in the struggle to achieve the nation's sovereignty and defend it and practical experience gained in it.
