Rodong Sinmun Slams U.S. for Taking Issue with DPRK over Its Measures for Self-Defence

Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- The U.S. is terming the DPRK's tactical guided missile test-fire and tactical rocket launching drill a "provocation" for no reason. A deputy spokesperson of the U.S. Department of State said the information about the rockets is under analysis to grasp their correct type, asserting it is impossible to open to public the information about the launching as it pertains to top secrecy and there is no information to reveal at present. The spokesperson blustered that the rocket launching of north Korea is problematic as it escalates tension and poses a threat and that it is the basic principle of the U.S. government that it is opposed to any launching of north Korea. Rodong Sinmun Sunday in a commentary observes in this regard: It is not a provocation and threat that the U.S. develops and tests latest weapons in a bid to invade other countries and its followers make ballistic missile test-fire but it is a provocation and threat that the DPRK bolsters up its war deterrence. This is the gangster-like logic of the U.S. The U.S. is taking issue with the DPRK over its rocket launching for self-defence, terming it "provocation" and "threat." Lurking behind this is an ulterior design of the U.S. to shift the blame for the escalated tension in the region wholly on to the DPRK and thus attain its sinister purpose. "Provocation", "threat" and the like let loose by the hostile forces only sound like a pitiful cry of those frightened by the might of the DPRK. It is the inviolable legitimate exercise of the sovereignty that the DPRK has bolstered up its deterrence force for self-defence to defend the security and peace of the country and firmly safeguard the gains of the revolution. No matter what other may say, the DPRK will as ever exercise its justifiable right to self-defence to cope with the vicious moves of the U.S. against it and further develop and round off the Juche-based rocket science and technology and firing methods. |
