DPRK Judoists Prove Successful at Int'l Judo Competitions

| Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- DPRK judoist Sol Kyong won a gold medal in the women's 78kg category at IJF Grand Prix Ulan Bator 2014 in Ulan Bator, Mongolia. She defeated her rivals of Taipei of China and Canada in the preliminaries and her Hungarian rival in the semi-finals. In the finals she beat her German rival to grab gold. Meanwhile, Hong Kuk Hyon placed third in the men's 73 kg category to bag bronze. The competition held from July 4 to 6 brought together at least 280 ace men and women judoists from 27 countries and regions. |
