The statement said:

The NDC of the DPRK sent a special proposal reflecting the principled stand for ensuring durable peace on the Korean peninsula to the south Korean authorities on June 30.

This is an intensive expression of the peace-loving stand of the DPRK to open a new turning phase of improving the inter-Korean relations by holding fast to the three principles of independence, peaceful reunification and great national unity and in the spirit of By Our Nation Itself as desired by the Korean nation.

The party fully supports the special proposal and calls upon the world progressives to positively conduct the solidarity movement for supporting it.

It also strongly demands the south Korean authorities stop seeking the confrontation with fellow countrymen while resorting to the dangerous provocative moves in collusion with foreign forces, halt all war drills at once and positively respond to the patriotic proposal of the DPRK.

All the party members hope the Korean people would make greater successes in the struggle to ensure the peace and security on the Korean peninsula and achieve the national reunification under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, true to President Kim Il Sung's noble idea and desire for national reunification.
