Kim Il Sung Always Finds Himself among People
|
|
Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung in his lifetime always found himself among people in carrying on the revolution, regarding "Believing in people as in Heaven" as his motto. Soon after the liberation of Korea from the Japanese colonial rule, Kim Il Sung visited Taedong County, South Phyongan Province and other rural areas and sat knee to knee with peasants to fathom the centuries-old aspiration of the peasantry for land. Through those visits, he elaborated the plan for the agrarian reform including the objects of confiscation and ways of confiscating and distributing land. Thanks to his efforts, the Agrarian Reform Law was promulgated and brought into practice in northern half of Korea. He also set forth several political and economic lines including the line of building self-supporting national economy and the basic line of socialist economic construction, all of them drafted during his field guidance to factories, enterprises and rural and sea villages. He had always regarded it as an iron rule to fully meet the demand, interests and desire of people in drawing up every line and policy. His sincere devotion to the wellbeing and happiness of the people encouraged them to turn out in the struggle for building a socialist power, which has turned the DPRK into a powerful socialist country, independent in politics, self-sufficient in economy and self-reliant in defence. |
