New Cutting Tools for CNC Machine Tools Developed in DPRK

| Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) -- New cutting tools for CNC machine tools have been developed in the DPRK by a researcher of the Metal Engineering Faculty of Kim Chaek University of Technology. The new tools made with nano-silicon nitride composite have proved stronger than hard alloy tools in hardness. They are highly resistant to heat and oxidation while ensuring safe-cutting for several hours even at 1 100-1 200 degrees centigrade. Their cutting speed is three or five times faster than hard alloy tools. The Mangang Technology Joint Venture Company is producing those tools. |
