The statement said:

The Central Committee of the AINDF fully supports it which reflects the principled and practical measures for improving the inter-Korean ties and opening up a new turning phase for the independent reunification, considering that it fully conforms with the unanimous desire and wishes of the south Korean people.

The statement of the DPRK government to improve the relations with the south and provide a turning point of the national reconciliation and unity by defusing the tensions on the Korean peninsula is just a patriotic bold decision.

The people from all walks of life should turn out in the nationwide struggle to defend and implement the south-north joint agreements such as the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration in hearty response to the sincere and compatriotic statement to improve the relations with the south and open up a new phase of independent reunification, peace and prosperity.

If the south Korean conservative authorities truly wish the south-north relations to be improved and the country to be reunified, there is no reason for them not to respond to the statement.

The AINDF will wage a more vigorous struggle to improve the inter-Korean ties together with all the people desirous of national reconciliation, unity, reunification and prosperity and thus open up a new phase of independent reunification, peace and prosperity without fail.
