Institution of Special Law on Probing Truth about Ferry Sewol Disaster Called for

Pyongyang, July 10 (KCNA) -- The Measure Committee of the Families of Victims, Missing Persons and Survivors of the Ferry Sewol Sinking Accident of south Korea held a press conference in Seoul on July 7 at which it demanded the authorities institute a special law on thoroughly probing the truth about the ferry disaster.

The organization held that the special bill on the ferry Sewol disaster proposed by the "Saenuri Party," etc. can hardly help conduct a probe into the truth about the accident.

What the families of the victims want is a special law for making a thorough probe into the truth and building a safe society, it noted, adding: Accordingly, the measure committee has worked out the April 16 special bill.

It declared it would submit to the "National Assembly" the April 16 special bill signed by three million people up to now and launch actions to institute the law.
