It was held, divided into textile, foodstuff, daily necessities and machine and information panels. Presented there were more than 330 papers on the achievements made in the field of light industry in recent years in hearty response to the idea of the Workers' Party of Korea on attaching importance to science.

Exhibited there were at least 60 scientific and technological data and products, diagrams and multi-media.

The participants introduced the achievements and experience gained in keeping production going at a high rate, increasing the proportion of locally available raw and other materials, putting equipment and production processes on a modern and CNC basis and developing new goods.

Present at the presentation were officials concerned, officials, scientists, technicians, teachers, researchers, members of three-revolution teams and post-graduate students of scientific and educational institutions and production units in the field of light industry.
