Kim Il Sung, Elder Statesman Highly Praised by Foreign Heads of State and Politicians

Pyongyang, July 10 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung was highly praised by foreign heads of state and prominent figures as a veteran statesman. I. V. Stalin, head of the former Soviet Union, said Kim Il Sung was a genuine proletarian internationalist, who defended the Soviet Union with arms and at the cost of blood, and a paragon of communist. Former Yugoslav President Tito said the non-aligned policy pursued by Kim Il Sung served as a model in the development of the non-aligned movement and he was a great and outstanding leader playing a big role in advancing the non-aligned movement and the international communist movements. Former Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh said he always regarded himself as a disciple of Kim Il Sung though he was senior to Kim Il Sung in the revolutionary struggle. Former Cuban President of the Council of State Fidel Castro said Kim Il Sung was the most experienced and prestigious politician among heads of state in the world. Former French President Mitterrand praised Kim Il Sung as a great head of state, saying that Kim Il Sung was the greatest man who had been active since the end of the Second World War. He added that he was the only one among the G-7 leaders, who was blessed with having opportunity to meet him, and it was a great honor. Sin Kanemaru, former vice-president of the Liberal-Democratic Party of Japan, said he earnestly respected Kim Il Sung as a great statesman and would always stand by the DPRK. He expressed his determination to entrust himself to Kim Il Sung in the efforts for achieving peace. |
