The statement said that the present regime has ceaselessly suppressed the organization since it took office.

This is aimed at preventing the organization from waging the pro-reunification movement by eliminating all its members and dissolving it in the end, the statement noted, and went on:

The organization has conducted its activities in full support of the three principals of national reunification--independence, peaceful reunification and great national unity.

The organization has devoted itself to the peace and reunification of the country since its formation.

The south Korean regime deserves the people's punishment for such brutal actions as suppressing the activities of the organization by invoking the "Security Law" and throwing its figures into prison.

The regime should bear in mind that it cannot quell even the will to dedicate oneself to reunification behind bars.

If the regime is not a group of traitors to the nation, it must halt inhumane and imprudent suppression of the elder figures of the organization at once.

It can never block the great long journey of the Koreans in the north, the south and abroad for the reunification of the nation.
