The publication of the July 4 joint statement was the precious fruition of the outstanding idea of President Kim Il Sung on national reunification and his wise leadership, the statement noted, and went on:

The Park Geun Hye fascist authorities of south Korea are desperately disturbing the efforts to improve the inter-Korean relations and suppressing the pro-reunification progressive patriotic forces.

Park Geun Hye, in particular, is negating the July 4 joint statement with anti-reunification sophism.

The basic principles of national reunification clarified by Kim Il Sung in the July 4 joint statement are fully reflected in the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration provided by leader Kim Jong Il.

They are also clarified in the special proposal sent by the National Defence Commission of the DPRK to the south Korean authorities recently.

If the south Korean authorities truly want the reunification of Korea, they should stop the war drills against the north and the nexus with foreign forces.

We are convinced that the Korean people will reunify the country without fail on the principle of independence under the guidance of Marshal Kim Jong Un.
