At the press conference, the organizations accused the warmongers of the U.S., south Korea and Japan of being going to stage joint naval maneuvers in south Korea with aircraft carrier George Washington involved at a time when Tokyo is showing its increased moves to allow its exercise of the "right to collective self-defense".

This is an act of threatening peace on the Korean peninsula, they charged.

They urged the U.S. to stop at once the moves to escalate the tension through their military drills against the north.

They held that the south Korean authorities should stop the joint military drills with the U.S. and Japan and opt for dialogue and cooperation with the north.
