New Type of Prospecting Apparatus Developed in DPRK

| Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- Kim Chaek University of Technology in the DPRK developed a CT direct current electro prospecting apparatus for underground resources, which is now popular among collieries and mines of the country. This prospecting apparatus helps ensure the delimitation of orebody and the delineation of ore deposits even 150 meters underground. It can be also used in survey of base for building. It played a significant role in developing geothermal water for the Ryugyong Health Complex, the People's Open-air Ice Rink and the Munsu Water Park. The apparatus has been introduced to coal mines in Kangdong and Kaechon areas of the country, paying off profusely. |
