Japan's Bid to Exercise "Right to Collective Self-defense" Denounced in S. Korea
Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- 228 organizations and 321 personages from all walks of life in south Korea held a meeting on the situation in Seoul on July 10 to check Japan's bid to exercise the "right to collective self-defense" and defend the peace in Northeast Asia, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Thongil News.

Speakers at the meeting said that Japan's bid to exercise the "right to collective self-defense" is nothing but the declaration that Japan is a state able to fight a war and will threaten international peace and actually combat.

Japan may find the way out in a war to tide over its economic crisis, they said, calling upon people from different social standings to turn out in the all-people movement for checking Japan's bid to exercise the "right to collective self-defense".

A joint declaration was adopted at the meeting.

The south Korean authorities have connived at Japan's exercise of the "right to collective self-defense", the declaration said, demanding they clarify the opposition stand on this occasion and stop the moves to conclude a military agreement with Japan as a practical measure.

It expressed the will to create public opinion opposing the "right to collective self-defense" and boost the joint action with the peace-loving forces in Japan.
