Probe into Truth about Sewol Sinking Disaster Demanded

Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- The All-People Measure Council for Sewol Disaster and the Measure Committee of the Families of Victims, Missing Persons and Survivors of the Ferry Sewol Sinking in south Korea held a rally in Seoul on July 12 and demanded the south Korean authorities probe the truth behind the disaster, according to Jaju Minbo, an internet newspaper of south Korea.

What the families of victims wish is not money but the probe into the truth behind the disaster, punishment of those responsible for it and the building of a safe society, speakers said, and went on:

There is a rumor that families of the victims want compensation, which gives impression that parents of the victims want a windfall at the cost of their children.

Parents put on their children's clothes, socks and shoes as they want to feel the odor of their children, saying that they want to know who killed their children.

Querying the "government" why it does not reveal the criminals, the speakers demanded the institution of a special law for the probe into the truth behind the Sewol disaster, punishment of those responsible for it and the safety of society.
