Attending there were exemplary service personnel of the KPA ground, naval, air and anti-air forces, cadets selected from military schools at each level and students from revolutionary schools.

A starting meeting of the KPA service personnel to visit the Changgol and Yuphyong revolutionary sites took place in Changsong County, North Phyongan Province on Tuesday.

The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before the mosaics depicting the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in Changsong township and paid tribute to them.

Om Hyang Chol, chairman of the KPA Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, made a speech there.

He said that through the visit all the service personnel should glorify the history and tradition of war victory by deeply grasping the exploits the President performed by winning the victory in the war and the fighting spirit of the army and people of the DPRK displayed in the 1950s.

At the end of the meeting service personnel visited the Changsong Revolutionary Museum.

And they made a study tour of the Changgol Revolutionary Site associated with undying feats the President performed by guiding an important meeting of the party and army there in October Juche 39 (1950) during the Fatherland Liberation War and bringing about a turning phase of the war.

On the same day the service personnel visited the Cemetery of Fallen Fighters of the Korean People's Army in Changsong County and paid silent tribute in memory of the martyrs.

They went round the Changsong Foodstuff Factory, Changsong Restaurant, Changsong Noodle House, etc. associated with the leadership exploits of the peerless great persons and appreciated a performance given by the members of the art group of the county at the Changsong County Hall of Culture.
