Pyongyang, July 16 (KCNA) -- Korean photo, book and handicraft exhibitions were open in Peru and Brazil on July 7 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung. On display at the venues of the exhibitions were photos dealing with the personalities of the President, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un as great men and their exploits. Displayed there were works of the peerless great men of Mt. Paektu, photos and books introducing Songun Korea and handicrafts associated with the wisdom and skills of Koreans. Ruth Anchorena, general secretary of the Peruvian People's Women Union, hoped that the exhibition would offer the Peruvian people an opportunity to know better about the Korean people and the DPRK achieving progress and prosperity, holding the great leaders in high esteem generation after generation. The chairman of the Peruvian Committee for Remembering Generalissimo Kim Jong Il said that the President was the founder of the immortal Juche idea and eternal leader of the cause of global independence, adding that the committee would deeply study works of the peerless great men of Mt. Paektu and widely introduce their greatness and immortal exploits to the Peruvian people. Gabriel Goncalves Martinez, chairman of the Brazilian Center for the Study of the Juche Idea, and other figures stressed that the President was the iron-willed brilliant commander who embarked on the road of revolution in his early years and defeated the formidable U.S. and Japanese imperialist enemies and the father of the Korean nation who dedicated himself to the country's prosperity and people's happiness all his life and he would always be alive in the hearts of not only the Korean people but the world progressives. |
