Release of Those Related to Attempted Rebellion Case Demanded in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, July 16 (KCNA) -- Members of the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy, the Association for Supporting Prisoners of Conscience of the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy, the Measure Committee to Denounce the Intelligence Service's Fabrication of Plotted Rebellion and Suppression under the Pretext of Security and other civic and public organizations and over 2 000 citizens of south Korea held a rally on July 12 in demand of the release of those who were unreasonably detained. The speakers said the attempted rebellion case was something unimaginable as it was a sheer fabrication. Those who were detained on charges of involvement in the case fought for the reconciliation and reunification of the south and the north, they held, adding that all of them are not guilty. If the authorities should detain people for the mere reason that they have thoughts different from them, they should detain even children, the speakers jeered. They vowed to carry on actions until the detainees are set free. |
