I fully support the statement of the DPRK government calling for putting an end to the reckless hostility and confrontation, improving the north-south relations and ushering in a fresh turning phase of independent reunification.

The statement most correctly reflects the unanimous aspiration of all Korean people for national reunification and requirement of the situation prevailing on the Korean peninsula.

If the south Korean authorities really want the improved north-south relations and reunification, they should drop their treacherous policy for confrontation, positively respond to the affirmative proposal of the DPRK government at an early date and stop all their joint military drills for aggression with foreign forces.

I extend firm support and solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle for reunifying the country by their own efforts without any interference by foreign forces.
