Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- Pak Kyong Ho, chairman of the United Confederation of Koreans in Kyrgyzstan, released a statement on July 9 in support of the statement of the DPRK government. The statement said: The DPRK government made public a statement on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the last autograph left by President Kim Il Sung on the historic document concerning national reunification. The statement is infusing a new hope and conviction of the improved north-south relations and Korea's reunification into the fellow countrymen in the north, the south and abroad and arousing the Koreans to the patriotic struggle for national reunification. The statement clearly reflects the principled and consistent stand of the DPRK government to do away the obstacles facing the nation, improve the inter-Korean relations and open a new epochal phase of independent reunification. The United Confederation of Koreans in Kyrgyzstan fully supports the statement, representing the ardent desire and patriotic will of overseas Koreans for national reunification. The south Korean authorities should resolutely break with the inglorious past and opt for mending the relations as soon as possible in response to the statement of the DPRK government. The Koreans in Kyrgyzstan will dynamically turn out in the nationwide struggle to usher in the second June 15 era of reunification under the banner of By Our Nation Itself. |
