Changsong, July 17 (KCNA) -- Service personnel of the Korean People's Army continue visiting revolutionary sites in various parts of the country and making study tour of them on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War. After touring the Changgol Revolutionary Site on Tuesday, they arrived at the Yuphyong Revolutionary Site in Changsong County, North Phyongan Province on Wednesday. It is the place where President Kim Il Sung instilled faith in sure victory into service personnel and learned in detail about the war-time farming in the village on October 26, Juche 39 (1950), showing deep loving care for the peasants there. The visitors laid bouquets before an oil painting depicting the President and paid tribute to him. Their visit to the site provided them with an opportunity to more clearly realize how such a historical victory was won in the war against the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces. A briefing on the greatness of the peerless great persons of Mt. Paektu took place there. Those who took the floor praised the President who, possessed of rare military wisdom, commanding art and warm love as his inborn disposition, led the war to victory and provided heroic Korea's history and tradition of victory in the war. On the same day there took place a shooting contest of service personnel. During the days of the visit and study tour service personnel gave sincere helping hands to the builders in various construction sites and took warm care of the living of war veterans. |
