Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) -- A remembrance meeting took place in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, Japan under the sponsorship of the Japanese Gunma Society for Korean Studies on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung. The participants watched a Korean film dealing with his noble popular traits. Kenichi Ogami, secretary general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea, said that the DPRK today would have been unthinkable without the faith of the President and the great succession by General Secretary Kim Jong Il. He went on: The President left his native home when he was 14 years old to embark upon the road of revolution and since then took the road of revolution in the deep forest and alien land, having no time even to drop in at his native home. His life was one dedicated to the independence of people. Whenever remembering the President who made total dedication to the people, my conviction in the Juche idea is getting stronger. His desire was successfully carried forward by Kim Jong Il and is being successfully accomplished by First Secretary Kim Jong Un. The road of independence, Songun and socialism is the most proper way and the road for sure victory. We will follow the road taken by Kim Il Sung all his life together with the Korean people and other progressive humankind. |
