Present at the ceremony were the secretary general and other members of the above-said organization and Pak Chang Yul, DPRK ambassador to Cuba, and staff members of his embassy.

The participants laid a floral basket before the portrait of the smiling President and paid tribute to him.

The secretary general said:

The Korean people could shake off the colonial yoke of the Japanese imperialism, build the independent and sovereign state, humble the arrogance of the U.S. and reliably defend the country's sovereignty as the President was born as the sun of the nation.

Through this event, I am convinced once again that the President is always alive in the hearts of not only the Korean people but the Cuban people and progressive humankind.

We extend invariable support and solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle for smashing the U.S. imperialists' moves and challenges, defending the sovereignty and reunifying the country.
