Rodong Sinmun Urges U.S. to Roll Back Its Hostile Policy towards DPRK

Pyongyang, July 19 (KCNA) -- The hostile policy of the Obama administration towards the DPRK is like a stone-throwing by a blind one. Rodong Sinmun Saturday says this in a commentary. As the hostile policy serves as a lever for carrying out the U.S. pivot to Asia-Pacific strategy, its absurdity is being brought to light day by day, the commentary notes, and goes on: The U.S. has massively stockpiled weaponry in its arsenals in and around the Korean peninsula to invade the DPRK under the pretext of its "nuclear issue" and contain big powers in its vicinity. The U.S. is not rolling back its hostile policy towards the DPRK though it is labeled a backstage manipulator of the crises in Syria and Ukraine and the failure of its Iraqi and Afghan policies is becoming a reality. The U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK and its scenario for dominating the whole of the Korean peninsula are no more than the ambition of the old man at the deathbed. The war maneuvers now under way in the East and South seas of Korea are nothing but the desperate military moves of the U.S. to get ride of the embarrassing position where it is compelled to leave the host's seat in a banquet. The U.S. which boasted of being the world's "only superpower" is now in an absolutely abnormal condition. The U.S. would be well advised to totally defuse the confrontation with the DPRK, a politico-ideological power. The U.S. should not overlook the views of news analysts that it is the only and wise strategic option to be taken by the U.S. and a measure required by the international situation surrounding the peninsula. It is the remedy suited to the present position of the U.S. to drop its hostile policy towards the DPRK. |
