At the contest of band music the performers sang high praises of the feats performed by President Kim Il Sung who shattered to smithereens the myth of the U.S. imperialists' "mightiness" and brought about the beginning of a downhill turn for them for the first time in history, the feats in the war victory which will shine forever.

Then followed the contest of singing songs in chorus while marching in array.

School youth and children from districts in the city marched through the square, singing in chorus "Song of National Defence", "Song of Coast Artillerymen" and "We Will Defend General Kim Jong Un at the Cost of Our Lives".
