Displayed in the main venue of the seminar in Kinshasa of the DR Congo was the portrait of the smiling President.

It was attended by the director-general, the secretary general and directors of the African Regional Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, figures of the Juche idea study organizations and organization for solidarity with the Korean people in the DR Congo and followers of the Juche idea, more than 100 in all.

Andre Lohekele Kalonda, secretary general of the African Regional Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea and chairman of the National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of the DR Congo, made a report at the seminar.

Referring to the significance of the African regional on-line seminar on the undying feats the President performed for the times and mankind held to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his demise, the secretary general said:

The President embodied the Juche idea in practice all his life, turning the DPRK into a power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defense and clarifying the orientation and way for the national liberation struggle in colonies to many people who were subject to exploitation and oppression by the imperialists.

The leaders of African countries desirous of the national prosperity and independent development should follow the example of the President, the sun of the 20th century, and make their way through ordeals and difficulties by dint of the Juche idea.

The speakers included the chairman of the Guinean Society for the Study of the Juche Literary Idea, the chairman of the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, the chairman of the Benin National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, the chairman of the Ethiopian Youth Study Group of the Juche Idea, the chairman of the Egyptian Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea and the director-general of the African Regional Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea.

They highly praised the ideological and theoretical feats of the President and leader Kim Jong Il and expressed their will to more widely study and disseminate the Juche idea and the Songun idea in the African region and thus make positive contributions to accomplishing the global cause of independence.

A letter to supreme leader Kim Jong Un was adopted at the seminar.
