Rodong Sinmun Monday says in a commentary in this regard:

The U.S. often brands the DPRK as the provoker and disturber of peace but the recent joint marine exercise has brought to bolder relief its true colors as real provoker and disturber of peace.

If the U.S. is truly interested in ensuring peace and security on the Korean peninsula, it will have to make a bold decision for stopping all joint military drills.

But the U.S. is acting quite contrary to this.

It has never wished for the improvement of the north-south relations and whenever there was a sign for detente on the peninsula, it tarnished the climate of reconciliation and cooperation by fabricating shocking cases and inveigling the south Korean puppet forces in the joint military drills.

The DPRK has never thought about getting peace and security provided by the U.S. and feels no need to do so.

The DPRK defends its own peace and security by itself.

This is the firm revolutionary stand of the DPRK.

The U.S. and south Korean puppet forces would be well advised to clearly bear in mind once again this invariable stand and will of the DPRK.

It will get nothing through escalated provocation and pressure.
