The farce of setting up the "committee for preparations for unification" announced by the south Korean authorities on July 15 was prompted by their gangster-like and sinister intention, the article said, and went on:

The farce to set up the committee which excludes pro-reunification patriotic forces while denying the June 15 joint declaration fully supported by the people is bound to go bust just like the "Dresden declaration" and the policy of "no nukes, opening and 3 000 dollars".

The unification policy which is not supported by the north is nothing but a political charade to maintain the puppet forces' base and deceive the people.

The south Korean authorities should lift the "May 24 step" if they truly want to build confidence for unification. Only then will it be possible to realize the reunions of separated families and relatives, north-south exchanges and peaceful reunification.

They should implement the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, though belatedly, and take part in the great cause of the independent reunification of the country.
