DPRK Players Prove Successful at 4th China Open Boxing Tournament

| Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- DPRK player Ri Hyang Mi won a gold medal at the 4th China Open Boxing Tournament held in Guizhou Province, China. In the women's 51kg category event, she beat her Tajik and Chinese rivals in the preliminary and semifinals. She trounced her Ukrainian rival 3:0 in the finals, placing the first. DPRK boxer Kwon Chol Guk came the second at the men's 56 kg category event and DPRK boxer Jang Un Hui the third at the women's 75 kg category event. The tournament brought together at least 170 men and women boxers from 18 countries and regions. The DPRK players returned home Wednesday. |
