National Exhibition of Sundry Goods for Daily Use Held
Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- The national exhibition of 206 varieties of sundry goods for daily use opened in Pyongyang.

President Kim Il Sung specified tasks and ways for the production of sundry goods for daily use in July, Juche 65 (1976). He added 13 varieties of goods including flower vase and fish basin to the list of sundry goods for daily use, perfecting it.

Leader Kim Jong Il gave an instruction to hold an exhibition of 206 varieties of sundry goods for daily use in every July and bring about a decisive turn in their production and make a contribution to improving the people's living standard.

On display there are more than 350 varieties of goods made at ministries and national institutions and at industrial establishments in the field of light industry and units for producing sundry goods and daily necessities in various places.

An opening ceremony took place on Wednesday.

Present at the ceremony were officials concerned, officials, technicians and producers of the relevant units.

Jo Yong Chol, minister of Food and Consumer Goods Industries, made an opening address. He called upon all the participants to make contributions to the development of light industry and improvement of the people's living standard by exchanging successes and experience achieved in the production of daily necessities and widely introducing new scientific and technical successes through the exhibition.

Then the participants went round the goods on display.
