Recalling the U.S. imperialists and south Korean puppet forces kicked off the joint naval military drills against the DPRK, the statement said:

The war ruckus staged by the U.S. imperialists in league with the south Korean puppet army is an attempt to threaten the DPRK preserving the socialist principle.

Such reckless war drills under way at a time when the DPRK made a peace proposal are seriously threatening peace in the Korean peninsula and the rest of Asia-Pacific.

The on-going drills were prompted by a sinister aim to chill the efforts made by the Korean people advancing toward peace and improvement of the north-south relations.

We strongly condemn the joint naval military drills.
