The editorial said:

The peasants enraged by the sudden opening of the rice market abandoned the harvest, plowed their fields and turned out in the action demanding the "government" shutdown. The opposition parties demanded in chorus the withdrawal and correction of the policy.

However, the "government" is playing upon words, saying that it would apply high tariff rate in return for opening the market.

The opening of the rice market is an act of treachery doing harm to the south Korean agriculture and selling the food sovereignty to outsiders.

All the people in south Korea as well as the peasants should turn out as one in the actions against the opening of the rice market and the "government".
