War Victory Day of Korean People Observed Abroad

Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- Events took place in various countries between July 15 and 23 to mark the 61st anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the Fatherland Liberation War. They included a meeting in Germany, Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibition in Brazil, lecture, photo exhibition and film shows in Nigeria. Displayed at the venues of the events were photos showing the exploits President Kim Il Sung performed by leading the war to victory and the Songun exploits of leader Kim Jong Il. Also displayed there were works of the peerless great men of Mt. Paetku, books and photos introducing Songun Korea and handicrafts associated with the creative skills of the Korean people. Film shown included Korean film "Reply of Korea". The chairman of the Anti-Imperialist Forum of Germany noted in a speech that Kim Il Sung protected the sovereignty, independence and peace of the DPRK and brought about the beginning of a downhill turn for the U.S. imperialists by achieving a brilliant victory in the Fatherland Liberation War 61 years ago. The vice-president of the Party for Free Motherland of Brazil lauded the exploits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and expressed support and solidarity for the service personnel and people of the DPRK in their just struggle to successfully carry forward the history and tradition of the victory in the war. The chairman of the Nigerian Group for the Study of the Songun Politics said in a lecture the miraculous victory achieved by the Korean people in the Korean war was a shining victory of the outstanding strategies and tactics, original war methods and superb commanding art of Kim Il Sung. The director of the Art and Cultural Council of the Ministry of Federal Capital Territory and other personages of Nigeria congratulated the Korean people on the 61st anniversary of their victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War. A congratulatory message to Marshal Kim Jong Un was adopted at an event held in Germany. |
