The article goes on:

"For the party and leader!" This was the core of the spirit of defending the country fully displayed by the army and people of the DPRK in the days of the war.

President Kim Il Sung represented the homeland, the mainstay and a symbol of victory for our army and people in the trying days of the war.

Thanks to the outstanding guidance of the party and leader the army and people had the firm faith that the country was sure to triumph in the war and the unshakable will to defend the Supreme Command at the cost of their lives and realize the operational plan and intention of the President. This was the noble spirit that burned their hearts.

The spirit for defending the country in the war was the spirit of waging a resolute anti-imperialist struggle which could be displayed only by the army and people of the DPRK as they regarded defending their ideology and social system at the cost of their lives as their bounden duty and conscience.

Dear native places, schools and work sites represented the true appearance of the country enshrined in the hearts of the brave fighters of the People's Army in the days of the war.

They dedicated their youth and lives without hesitation to the fight for wiping out the enemy forces as they could not allow those forces to deprive them of everything dear.

The said spirit serves as precious ideological and moral treasure of the Korean revolution and a source of invincible strength of Songun Korea dashing ahead like the wind towards the final victory.
