Pyongyang, July 28 (KCNA) -- The General Association of Koreans in China held round-table talks in Shenyang, China on July 25 to mark the 61st anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the Fatherland Liberation War. It was attended by Choe Un Bok, chairwoman of the association, and its officials, Hwang Yong Du, chairperson of the Liaoning Regional Association of the general association, officials of the Korean Youth Association in China, Koreans in China and a consul of the DPRK consulate general in Shenyang. Choe Un Bok said that the Fatherland Liberation War was a fierce confrontation between the young DPRK and the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces. The heroic service personnel of the Korean People's Army and the Korean people turned out as one in the just struggle for defeating the aggressors and defending the dignity of the country and the honor of the nation under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung, winning the victory in the war. Then followed speeches. The speakers denounced the U.S. imperialists for resorting to the moves for a war of aggression against the DPRK and the Korean nation, far from drawing a due lesson from the bitter defeat they sustained in the Korean War. The DPRK is sure to win despite the moves of the imperialists to stifle it as it is led by Marshal Kim Jong Un. The General Association of Koreans in China and all Koreans in China will together with the people in the homeland bitterly condemn the moves for invading the DPRK by the U.S. and south Korean authorities going reckless to inflict a nuclear holocaust on the Korean nation and will wage a more vigorous struggle for defending peace against the U.S. and war. A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the round-table talks. |
