Present there were members of organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people and Juche idea study organizations in Japan and masses. Present there on invitation were officials of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon).

Fumihiro Himori, chairman of the Japan Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea, made a report at the meeting to be followed by speeches of those related to revolutionary activities of the President.

The reporter and speakers recalled that brisk activities are going on worldwide to highly praise and glorify the exploits of the President on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his demise.

They noted that the President performed great exploits for socialist construction, the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea, normalization of Japan-DPRK diplomatic relations and the peace and stability in Northeast Asia.

The President founded the original Juche idea and proved its validity and vitality in the revolutionary practice, they said, praising the founding of the Juche idea as the feat of world historic significance.

They underlined the need to further boost solidarity with the Korean people in order to implement the behests of the President, expressing expectation that the normalization of Japan-DPRK relations would come true at an early date.
