July 27 is the day of the second liberation because the Korean People's Army and the Korean people honorably defended the freedom and independence of the country and the gains of the revolution by defeating the U.S. imperialist aggressors who boasted of being the "strongest" in the world and achieved a historic victory in the hard-fought Fatherland Liberation War, united close around President Kim Il Sung, speakers said, and went on:

Under the wise guidance of leader Kim Jong Il, peerless Songun commander identical to Kim Il Sung in grit and stamina, the army and people of the DPRK mercilessly frustrated the moves of the U.S. imperialists for aggression for years by dint of the treasured sword of Songun and won only victories in the confrontation with them.

No force on earth can match the army of the DPRK powerful enough to defeat any aggressor forces at a single blow as it is led by Marshal Kim Jong Un, illustrious commander identical to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

If the U.S. imperialists ignite another war of aggression, instead of drawing a lesson from their defeat in the Korean war, the powerful revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu will wipe out them to the last man and achieve national reunification, the cherished desire of the nation, without fail.
