Leading Party Officials Visit Taehongdan Area and Mupho Bivouac

Taehongdan, August 3 (KCNA) -- Leading party officials from across the country on a study tour of revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu visited the Taehongdan area and Mupho Bivouac on Sunday. They toured the Sinsadong Revolutionary Battle Site. They were briefed before the mosaic depicting President Kim Il Sung and anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk and went round the site. They went round historic relics, being briefed on the fact that the President advanced into the Musan area, took parental love for the people at the command log-cabin in Sinsadong, struck spark of revolution in their hearts, indicated the way for national liberation and class liberation and led them to wage a vigorous anti-Japanese struggle. They arrived in the Taehongdan Revolutionary Battle Site. They laid bouquets before the statue of Kim Il Sung at the Monument to the Victorious Battle in Musan Area and paid tribute to him. They looked round the command post of the Taehongdan Battle and larches standing as witnesses of the battle. They went round Mupho Bivouac where Kim Il Sung stayed in the way of advancing into the homeland by leading the main force of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army in May, Juche 28 (1939). Being briefed on the fact that the President held a meeting of commanding officers of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army and set forth the tasks for advancing into the Taehongdan area, they went round the site of the command, the place where Kim Jong Suk prepared meals, site of campfire, etc. They also went round the Mupho Angling Site where leader Kim Jong Il matured his far-sighted plan for modeling the whole society on Kimilsungism. On arrival in the Monument to the Poem at the Folk to Mt. Paektu, they were briefed on it and held a public presentation. They headed for the Samjiyon township. They handed over goods for preserving revolutionary sites and battle sites and conducted various political activities among masses during the tour. |
