Present at the talks from the DPRK side were members of the delegation, the DPRK ambassador to Laos and his embassy officials, and from the Lao side were officials concerned of the Foreign Ministry.

At the talks both sides exchanged their views on the issue of developing the bilateral relations of friendship and other issues of mutual concern.

Thongloun Sisoulith said that the relations between the two countries were the comradely and strategic ones and the solid ones based on the commonness of the socialist idea.

He expressed belief that the Lao visit by the delegation would contribute to developing the friendly relations between the two parties, governments and peoples.

He hoped that the fraternal Korean people would register great successes in their efforts to defend the country, build socialism and improve the people's standard of living under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.
