The editorial said that the "Saenuri Party" is distorting the fact as if the people were supporting the party as regards the political situation about the ferry Sewol after the announcement of the results of the recent parliamentary by-election.

The overwhelming majority of respondents of the opinion poll conducted on August 1 held that the cause of the accident has not been properly probed and the right to investigation should be given to the fact-finding committee, it noted.

The "Saenuri Party", however, is trying to evade the blame for the disaster, misinterpreting the results of the election, it charged.

If the party persists in mocking at the people, it will repeatedly confirm that the party is the first target of reform, the editorial stressed.
