More than 124 000 items of consumer goods of over 1 500 varieties including sundry goods, small articles for daily use, and food were on display at the People's Palace of Culture, the venue of the exhibition.

Factories, enterprises, housewives' work-teams and reutilization production work-teams across the country produced such goods by using internal reserves.

Various goods including garments, shoes and toys attracted great attention of the visitors.

Grasswork and household goods produced by several units of North and South Hwanghae and North Phyongan provinces meeting the fashions and requirements of people were popular among the visitors.

The products presented by Pyongyang City, including children's wear, raincoats and bags, and swimming slips presented by North Hamgyong Province and Nampho City were appreciated by visitors for their usefulness and high quality.

During the exhibition a discussion was held to reenergize the production of such goods and a meeting took place to exchange experience.
