Anniversary of Korea's Liberation Marked in Nigeria, Guinea

Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) -- A lecture, book exhibition and film show were held in Nigeria and a lecture and film show in Guinea on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the liberation of Korea. On display at the venue of the book exhibition were works of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un, and books introducing service personnel and all other people of the DPRK in their efforts to build a thriving socialist nation. Korean films shown included "Arms of Korea". It was Kim Il Sung who liberated the Korean nation from the fate of colonial slaves of the Japanese imperialists, said the chairman of the Nigerian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism. He continued: Such legends as "General Kim Il Sung employs the art of shortening distance" and "The Korean People's Revolutionary Army appears from nowhere and disappears into nowhere" spread throughout the Japanese people as well as the Korean people. The Korean people fought the anti-Japanese war bravely under his leadership, looking up to him as the sun of the nation and the savior of the liberation of Korea. The feats performed by the President, the benevolent liberator of the nation, will always be remembered by the Korean people and the world progressives century after century. The permanent secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture of Yobe State, Nigeria, said that the feats the President performed by liberating the country through the armed struggle will go down in the history of the world anti-imperialist national liberation. The chairman of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in Conakry, Guinea, noted that the President, who brought about a historic event of the liberation of the country, is highly lauded as a national liberator, and is always remembered by the Korean people. |
