Myanmar President Meets DPRK Government Delegation

| Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) -- The Myanmar government supports the domestic and foreign policies of the party and government of the DPRK for peace and security on the Korean peninsula and in the region and hopes for boosting the friendly relations between the two countries. Thein Sein, president of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, said while having a talk with the DPRK government delegation headed by Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong on a visit to Myanmar on Aug. 11. He warmly congratulated HE Kim Jong Un upon his reelection as first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK thanks to the absolute trust of all the Korean people. He sincerely wished Kim Jong Un great success in the work for defending the sovereignty of the country and achieving its prosperity. He said he was pleased that Kim Jong Un is paying deep attention to developing the friendly relations with Myanmar. Present there were the minister of Defense, the minister of Foreign Affairs, the minister of Industry, the minister of Information and others of Myanmar and the DPRK ambassador to Myanmar and a staff member of his embassy. |
