Kim Il Sung was a peerless patriot and national liberator who led the anti-Japanese armed struggle to victory.

He set forth the idea that the destiny of the nation and victory in the revolution can be secured only by arms. Based on this idea, he founded the Korean People's Revolutionary Army on April 25, Juche 21 (1932).

The anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle was a sacred patriotic struggle to defeat the Japanese imperialist aggressors and liberate the country and a fierce revolutionary war against the Japanese aggression forces armed to the teeth.

Keeping deep in his mind the ardent patriotism and love for the nation, Kim Il Sung led the guerilla warfare against the Japanese imperialists for more than ten years to accomplish the cause of national liberation.

The undying feats performed by him for national liberation will remain long in the history of the country.
