Referring to the scale and aggressive nature of Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military exercises to be kicked off by the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces, the statement said:

The "tailored deterrence strategy", a scenario for preemptive nuclear strike, will be formally applied to the joint military exercises.

Ulji Freedom Guardian is nuclear war exercises to stifle the DPRK.

There is no guarantee that such exercises will not spill over to a nuclear war.

The DPRK is making positive efforts to defend the peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and improve the inter-Korean relations.

Nevertheless, the U.S. imperialists are resorting to the moves for igniting a nuclear war, a clear indication that they are the sworn enemy of the Korean people who does not want peace on the Korean peninsula.

We appeal to the world peace-loving forces to turn out in the struggle against the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet forces' moves for a nuclear war against the DPRK.
