Rodong Sinmun Terms S. Korea Complete Colony of US
Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- South Korea is a total colony of the U.S. because there is the "regime" there but it lacks any real power, there is an "army" but it has no right to command operations and it has neither its own economy nor culture. Rodong Sinmun Saturday says this in an article.

It goes on:

It is not the people or the "government" but the White House that has the right to decide on the domestic and foreign policies in south Korea.

It is open secrecy that the U.S. decides who should become "president".

The "presidential" election in south Korea is, in fact, nothing but a deceptive farce to cook up a pro-U.S. puppet regime.

The U.S. holds "summit talks" with south Korea, but it is, in fact, aimed to justify its colonial domination and impose aggressive and predatory demands upon south Korea.

The "policy toward the north" touted by the south Korean puppet forces is oriented to meeting the U.S. interests and demands.

The "confidence-building process" touted by the present chief executive is no more than a copy of the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK the keynote of which is to force it to dismantle its nukes.

The south Korean puppet army is the only one in the world whose prerogative of supreme command is in the hands of outside forces.

There are many overseas military bases of the U.S. on the earth, but no countries except for south Korea cover even the expenses for the presence of U.S. forces and those for the transfer of their base.

South Korea is completely dependent on outside forces politically, militarily and economically.

It is quite natural for the south Korean people to turn out in the struggle to terminate the U.S. colonial domination and the puppet group's misrule against the people, under uplifted slogan of independence, democracy and reunification, the article concludes.
