The editorial said Chosun Ilbo is malignantly slandering the judgment made by the Seoul High Court which admitted the innocence of Ri Sok Gi, lawmaker from the Unified Progressive Party, suspected in the involvement in the case of the attempted rebellion.

Chosun Ilbo is resorting to mud-slinging is because its many articles are run through unilateral assertions of the Intelligence Service and the prosecution, it charged.

The case of the attempted rebellion is a political retaliation of the present regime on the Unified Progressive Party and a politically-motivated suppression, the editorial said, urging Chosun Ilbo stop hysteric fit.
