The message said:

I express profound sorrow to widow Ri Hui Ho and bereaved family members on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of demise of former President Kim Dae Jung.

The efforts and contributions made by former President Kim Dae Jung for the national reconciliation, unity and reunification will always be remembered and his feats will be conveyed to posterity.

It is my hope that the bereaved family members and those concerned of the Kim Dae Jung Peace Center will continue taking the lead in the patriotic work for reunification, true to the lifetime intention of former President Kim Dae Jung.
