At the rally Sin Sung Chol, chairman of the KCTU, deplored that the sycophantic forces are lording it over this land, cracking down on workers.

He noted that the workers will pool their efforts to realize the peaceful reunification of the Korean peninsula.

A resolution was read out.

It called for shattering Japan's moves to reinvade the Korean peninsula through the exercise of the "right to collective self-defense".

It also called for halting the south Korea-U.S.-Japan joint military exercises fostering tensions in Northeast Asia and escalating confrontation with fellow countrymen.

It appealed to smash the "government's" anti-reunification policy and carry through the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.
